Dewey’s Books Challenge
2008 December 8
The Dewey’s Books Challenge was formed as a tribute to Dewey of The Hidden Side of the Leaf. The challenge/memorial runs from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st, 2009. There are two ways to participate, either by picking one book from each of the six years Dewey has archives of for a total of six books or to read five books Dewey reviewed.
I’m planning on completing the second option, except I plan on modifying it to honor the six years she blogged by reading six books. My six books just won’t come from the years she blogged, if that makes sense. Here are my {tentative} list of books:
- Alias Grace {Margaret Atwood}
- Everything Is Illuminated {Jonathan Safran Foer}
- The Eyre Affair {Jasper Fforde}
- The Grapes of Wrath {John Steinbeck}
- The Kite Runner {Khaled Hosseini}
- The Lovely Bones {Alice Sebold}
THe Eyre Affair is on my list of possibilities too! It’s been on the TBR pile for awhile now :p Thanks so much for joining!!!
@ Chris: The Eyre Affair was recommend to me three years ago, and Dewey’s reading of it pulled it out of the pile for me.
